STUDENTS FIRST
Champion greatness at MacEwan
Every day, MacEwan students walk through our doors with big dreams and, too often, financial worries. Some are the first in their families to pursue higher education. Others juggle work, family and classes.
So far this year, MacEwan staff and faculty have given over $70,000, which is enough to support 70 student awards. Our goal is to reach 100 students with $100,000 in scholarships, awards and bursaries, and we’re just $30,000 away.
Every gift helps open the door for another student’s future.
By choosing payroll deduction, you can support a student bursary, scholarship or your own faculty—all through small, regular contributions that add up to life-changing support.
Remember—with Alberta’s tax credits, you can receive up to 49% of your gift back at tax time.
Because of you, a student who thought university was out of reach is calling themselves a MacEwan student.
General
You keep students in school: Sometimes the difference between staying in class and dropping out is as simple as groceries, rent, or a bus pass. Your gift makes sure students don’t have to choose between basic needs and their education.
Specific needs
You support students with specific needs: You help level the playing field for student parents, Indigenous students, and others facing systemic and financial barriers.
Faculty
You support students in your faculty: You can direct your gift to your own faculty and help students in your field continue their studies.
