SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION, EDUCATION and RESPONSE

Ending Sexual Violence: Week of Action

This annual week-long event features a variety of activities, such as art exhibits, performances, information booths, workshops and panels to promote awareness of and discussion about sexual violence.

During the 2023 Week of Action, individuals impacted by sexual violence, their supporters and allies displayed artistic creations in the Peace Together gallery, raising awareness about sexual violence while celebrating survivors’ healing journeys and resiliency. At the Clothesline Project booth, participants decorated t-shirts with messages of support for survivors or expressions of what a world without violence would look like.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2024 Week of Action next fall.

How will you help end sexual violence?
It takes all of us to create a campus community free of sexual violence. We invite every member of the MacEwan community to take the pledge now.

It’s crucial that we have conversations about what a consent culture, or a world without sexual violence, looks like.
