Our fitness programming serves people of all abilities and interests—from triathlon training and kickboxing to yoga and Pilates. Registered courses require a fee to participate. Value-Added classes are free for members, included with the purchase of a pass or with paid facility access.

Former Canadian Champion Gasper Bonomo delivers exhilarating, non-choreographed kickboxing basics to anyone looking to build strength, speed and agility. No experience necessary.

Tai Chi

Putting meditation into motion. Flow through a series of gentle movements to bring harmony within through mindfulness, strength, balance, and flexibility. Drop-in available.

TRX-Barre Blend

Fuse elements of ballet, Pilates and sport conditioning into a fluid routine that will sculpt and tone your physique combined with TRX suspension trainers to enhance movements and postures. Open for late registration or drop-in. Drop-in available.

Yin Yoga 

A gentle, slow-paced yoga practice with asanas held for longer periods of time, typically 3-5 minutes. Bring calmness, balance and mobility to the mind and body. *Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats/props. Mats are available if needed. Drop-in available.

Zumba® 

Fitness can feel like a party! Choreographed dance & aerobics movements set to Latin and international music. Those with two left feet welcome! This class will be held outdoors as weather permits. Drop-in available.

The following value-added classes are free drop-in classes for those who have a Sport and Wellness membership or pass. The public can join for a fee. camcorder indicates class is also offered virtually. All Value-Added classes require minimum participation numbers to run. Classes with low numbers are subject to cancellation.

Join us for coached training sessions that include interval, tempo and hill workouts around MacEwan University. Participants must be able to run 30 minutes continuously.

Cancellation policies

No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after the regular registration deadline.

Prior to the regular registration deadline, you may withdraw from any program for a full refund.

Late registrations may be accepted, pending available space. Speak to a Welcome Desk representative or email welcomedesk@macewan.ca for assistance.

Patrons may transfer from one program to another before the registration deadline, granted space is available in the requested program, with the consent of the programmer. Price differences are the responsibility of the patron.
