Learning Communities

If you want to talk about teaching, you can find a group of colleagues who want to have that conversation with you.

Faculty Learning Communities meet to discuss and reflect on specific topics or goals. Think of it as your favourite book club meeting with your favourite seminar class (but without the exam). Each community decides on its methods, schedule and goals, but they all have a common desire to learn and share.

Create a community

If there’s a Learning Community topic you’d like to propose, we can help you with the initial organization and planning and find others with common interests and goals.

I’ve been teaching for most of my adult life, and my experiences with students of all ages have taught me the best of what learning can be—the fun, the value of interrelationships and the importance of teaching out of care.
