The Department of Wellness and Psychological Services in the Student Affairs Division invites applications for one full-time appointment as a Counselor.

The successful candidate is responsible for the following tasks: provision of professional assessment and counselling services to students who are seeking solutions to personal, career and educational concerns; facilitation of group workshops; lead program coordination, promotion and student support of mental health and wellness initiatives, work closely with community partners to align our mental health and wellness efforts for students; develop health & wellness resources for students, faculty & staff; participation in applied research and development activities; liaison with staff and faculty as needed; and participation in regular department or other Student Affairs meetings. Travel between local campuses may be required.

The ideal candidate will hold a graduate degree in Counselling Psychology, and registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Provisionally Registered Psychologists will also be considered. Knowledge and experience working within a post-secondary institution in a professional psychologist/counselling role with diverse adult learners is desirable. Demonstrated success working within a multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, modelling flexibility, showing initiative and process thinking or mapping are also critical.
