The Procurement Contract Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of the procurement contracting and related processes for the acquisition of goods and services required to support university operations.
As a member of the EPACS team, this position will liaise with university stakeholders to draft and develop contract documents incorporating stakeholder requirements into approved procurement contract templates; coordinate and administer the PeopleSoft contract database including collection, input and reporting of contract metrics; facilitate the development of key contract management indicators and/or vendor performance metrics; participate in supplier evaluation initiatives; conduct market research and advise management on contract renewal related risks and opportunities; prepare correspondence as related to the contract award and/or competitive bidding processes, and; facilitate the competitive bid process, within an assigned portfolio, by developing and administering related documents and leading the process from bid solicitation to contract execution.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and analytical skills, superior attention to detail, ability to operate with independence and take initiative to provide proactive and effective client-centered support,
knowledge of project management methodologies with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to work as a strong contributor in a team environment able to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract management, procurement and/or purchasing preferably within a public-sector environment and experience in an ERP application environment, preferably with operational knowledge of PeopleSoft FSCM modules for procurement, e-procurement and contract management.
This position requires a diploma and/or certification in business administration, contract management, business law, supply management or related discipline.
