Opportunity
The Department of Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Science at MacEwan University invites applications for a temporary full-time laboratory technician position, commencing mid to late January, 2018 through June 30, 2018. The successful candidate will provide support for undergraduate Biology teaching laboratories by planning and conducting laboratory preparation, ordering supplies and services, managing materials, and maintaining equipment. Expertise in microbiology and molecular biology techniques would be considered an asset.

Skills
Candidates will have strong technical laboratory skills, excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Candidates must possess an aptitude for team work and have the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students.

Qualifications
Preferred candidates will hold a B.Sc. in Biology, or hold a Biological Sciences Technology Diploma with extensive experience.
