Admissions Coordinator
School of Continuing Education

Opportunity

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for determining student admissibility to MacEwan University's School of Continuing Education programs, as well as maintaining and updating student records throughout a student's life cycle. The Admissions Coordinator will maintain currency relating to academic requirements and policies and work collaboratively with university faculties, schools and service units on strategies to support effective enrollment management.

Skills

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrate organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills; above average attention to detail; the ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment; and, computer literacy including the use of student information and database systems, and a knowledge of secondary and post-secondary education systems in Alberta, Canada and abroad.

Position Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in program evaluation in a post-secondary institution including evaluating Canadian or international education academic qualifications and knowledge of PLAR and transfer credit processes. Knowledge of PeopleSoft - Campus Solutions or a similar student registration system is critical.
