Summer Peer Health Educator

The Summer Peer Health Educator reports to the Student Wellness Coach and Wellness Psychological Services Faculty, and is responsible for assisting the with development of health promotion programming for the 2018/2019 academic year. The Summer Peer Health Educator will contribute to the creation of health promotion content material, plan activities and initiatives, and create training materials for future peer health educator positions.

This is a four-month term position, starting on approximately May 1, 2018 and ending on approximately September 10, 2018.


The successful candidate must be passionate about health and wellness education and promotion. They will possess strong research, time management, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work well both in a team environment as well as independently is essential. Experience with SMART goal setting is an asset.


Current enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a MacEwan University degree program is required Candidates who are enrolled in their 1st or 2nd year of a degree program or who are enrolled in a diploma program may be considered if they already have a relevant Bachelors degree. Experience in health promotion and education and/or developing educational materials and activities is an asset.
