The Team Lead, Information Systems provides leadership, development, onboarding and training to a group of Functional Analysts that support the operation of MacEwan University’s Student Information System, Oracle - PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, and other integrated systems that provide administration support for student and scheduling services to the entire University campus. These systems provide information and online services for students, staff and faculty members.
The position is responsible for directing and supporting the Functional Analysts on their assigned work deliverables to achieve the vision of the University’s strategic plans. The position also provides the Associate Registrar, Information Services and Scheduling recommendations regarding the management of the business requirements and scheduling of planned project. The successful candidate will know when to escalate timeline delays for prioritized student system and scheduling projects.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to provide leadership and direction to both technical and business team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and superior organizational skills are essential. The successful candidate will also be results-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and have an aptitude for details, accuracy and thoroughness. Experience in writing and implementing change management and communication plans that support successful implementation of university-wide system and business process solutions. A collaborative approach to building and sustaining positive, high functioning teams is imperative.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, \Management, Human Resources or other suitable fields and a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Business Analyst Certificate. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a student administration system in a post-secondary environment is required.
Experience leading the business side of application development projects with internal and external stakeholders is essential. At least one year of organizational change management experience is preferred. Experience with Oracle, Campus Solutions and leading a team of process or functional analysts is preferred.
