The Student Financial Aid Office is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Functional Analyst. Please be advised that this competition is open only to internal applicants at this time. This position serves as the foundation for the team and is responsible for documentation, maintenance of application data, and reporting related to Scholarships, Awards, and Bursaries (SABs). Working collaboratively with all stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure that application configuration is up to date; that information is available to all relevant parties; extracts and organizes data required for SAB selections; is involved in strategic decision making; and other duties as required. Further tasks include, but are not limited to, business process documentation, system training for users, verification of information entered into the system, and project activities such as user acceptance testing. Where required, the position will work directly with IT on project activities and to resolve issues.
The successful candidate will have experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge, Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of subject matter experts is imperative. Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills are required.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree in computing science would be considered an asset. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management and coordination, systems requirement documentation, data cleanup, and troubleshooting systems solutions is required. Additionally, experience in training and user acceptance testing is vital.
