The Faculty of Health and Community Studies invites applications for an Administrative Support staff member in the Office of the Dean. The incumbent provides senior-level administrative support to the Deans and to the Faculty of Health and Community Studies Council and its committees. The incumbent has a key role in the effective functioning of the office and governance of the Faculty, particularly information flow, and manages confidential and sensitive information. Responsibilities include management of documents and processes, preparation of agenda packages, reports, minutes and correspondence, liaison with other MacEwan and external offices, office management and work on other Faculty projects. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must maintain a high level of understanding of University policy and process.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to effectively prioritize a demanding workload with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to complete tasks.
Candidates must hold a post-secondary Office Administration diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years of office experience. A degree would be an asset, as would work experience in a post-secondary setting, and with PeopleSoft systems. Advanced Microsoft skills are required.
