Opportunity

The Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications (FFAC) of MacEwan University is recruiting for a talented, professional Administrative Assistant III. The individual in this continuing full-time position will provide administrative support for Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications (FFAC) faculty and staff: program support for the Fine Art and Design programs; word processing; minute-taking; reception and related support; and maintenance of files in accordance with the University’s file management and retention policies.

Skills

Proficiency is required in all office duties and in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google docs. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset. The ability to master PeopleSoft at the intermediate level is required. The successful candidate will have well-developed interpersonal skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skillsabove-average verbal and written communication skills, proof-reading skills; minute-taking skills; be adaptable and possess the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.

Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of a diploma in an administrative field or related area, with formal administrative assistant coursework preferred (equivalencies may be considered) and 3 - 5 years of related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
