The School of Continuing Education is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Registration and Scheduling Specialist. This position is responsible for administering scheduling processes, working closely with the Registration and Information Systems team, program areas and the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) to create communications for students and staff as well as perform term maintenance such as generating grade and attendance rosters and post-enrollment requirement checks. Additional responsibilities include acting as an Information Registration Assistant as needed and providing other general office and project support.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary customer service and written and oral communication skills as well as excellent problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate must be able to perform intermediate level tasks independently using the student information system and Microsoft Office suite. The position will require the ability to demonstrate flexibility, collaborative decision making and critical thinking to understand, interpret and apply departmental policies and procedures with a high degree of accuracy. Understanding, interpreting, and applying diverse Canadian and international education systems against established admission criteria to process registration information is required.
A post-secondary diploma in office administration or communications is required. Competency in Microsoft Office suite, PeopleSoft/Campus Solutions and Infosilem software is an asset. A minimum of two years’ experience in a post-secondary setting and knowledge of registration and information systems is required. Experience in communications or scheduling would be considered an asset.
