The Security Services department at MacEwan University has an opportunity for a
Security Services Agent. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for performing security functions, such as campus patrol; respond to alarm and emergency conditions; perform access control functions; document all activities and incidents; handle clients’ complaints and concerns.

The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service to the staff, faculty, and the public.  In addition, excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to use the computer and Microsoft Office will allow the candidate to be successful in this position.   


Candidates must be graduates from a recognized Police and/or Security program, along with two years of security experience and training.  Equivalencies may be considered. Candidates must have a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license with a good driving record, and currently have no more than four (4) demerit points.  The ideal candidate must be physically fit as this position requires shift work and extensive foot patrol.  Previous control tactics training is an asset. Current first aid certification is required.
