The AV Technician I is accountable to effectively provide a variety of technology and end user support services. This includes support for set up, breakdown and troubleshooting as well as support to internal special events and special facilities. This position provides exceptional technological services to the University’s computer and audiovisual users.


The successful candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills. Personal computer and network software skills are imperative. The successful candidate must have a high attention to detail and accuracy of work, as well as the ability to diagnose problems and provide solutions. The ability to work well with others, including both technical and non-technical users, is essential.


A post-secondary technology related diploma or certificate is required. A minimum of one-year experience in a multi-media technology environment and experience with customer services and/or end user support is also required.
