The Coordinator, Employee Information Services provides administrative and technical support to the Department of Human Resources and the MacEwan University community. This position is responsible for a broad spectrum of HR activities including recruitment support, onboarding, job updates, processing leaves, managing benefit transactions, and salary administration. A key component to this position is process management which is essential for core transactional support, advice, and quality assurance within the department. The incumbent provides information to the public regarding employment opportunities and provides employees, faculty, and managers expert advice on HR policies and procedures, collective agreement interpretation, and core processes. The nature and type of work will vary and includes: being skilled using HR information systems and resolving technical issues; ensuring data integrity of the system; coordinating annual core processes; acting as first point of contact in HR resolving employee matters; and working with highly confidential information.
We are looking for a team member with outstanding customer service and communication skills. You will have strong computer skills and be well organized with great attention to detail. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and be able to adapt and be flexible to changes. The incumbent must be able to analyze, set priorities, problem-solve and exercise judgment related to often competing transactional requirements and must skillfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines while offering prompt service to clients and other HR staff.
The successful candidate will have a Human Resources Diploma with one to two years of experience in a similar role. Equivalencies will be considered. Prior experience using HR information systems, in particular PeopleSoft HCM, would be an asset.
