The Department of Decision Sciences in the School of Business at MacEwan University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track probationary appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management commencing on July 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All positions are subject to budgetary approval. The Department will consider applicants that have demonstrated expertise in teaching in operations, and supply chain management, and evidence of a research plan. A review of applications will begin in February 2019.
Candidates are expected to possess demonstrated potential to publish and present their research while achieving teaching excellence in operations and supply chain management or management science.
The Decision Sciences Department has 15 full-time faculty members, offering a Bachelor of Commerce major in Supply Chain Management and Business Management major in Insurance and Risk Management.
Preferred candidates will have:
- an earned Ph.D. (or completed NLT Dec 2019) in operations and supply chain management, management science, or a closely related field;
- evidence of outstanding teaching ability, and a demonstrated primary commitment to undergraduate teaching;
- an ongoing program of academic research in supply chain management (e.g. logistics management, procurement and supply management, and supply chain planning and coordination);
- professional/industry experience in supply chain management (e.g. logistics management, procurement and supply management, and supply chain planning and coordination) and Management Science (statistics and quantitative methods).
