Academic Affairs is seeking to hire a Functional Analyst to support the faculty electronic CV (eCV) [PeopleSoft] and student course evaluation [Explorance Blue] applications. The Functional Analyst will work with HR, IT, faculty, and staff in the Office of the Provost to improve the functionality of the eCV so it consistently meets the needs of faculty and academic administrators. The Functional Analyst will troubleshoot any technical issues in relation to the eCV and will escalate concerns on an as needed basis. Key tasks for the eCV will include working collaboratively with the ERP team to create and maintain test scripts, trouble shooting, and conducting User Acceptance Testing. The Functional Analyst will become an expert and lead in the business process. The Functional Analyst will understand faculty and administrator needs and will be able to identify and facilitate opportunities for system enhancements based on feedback. In addition, the Functional Analyst is responsible for setting up the student course surveys at the beginning of each term and working with IT and/or the vendor to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that require escalation.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft combined with directly relevant on-the-job experience will be an asset. The ideal candidate will have worked with faculty and administrators in a large university environment, and will have an understanding of academic terminology, policies and business processes. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact professionally within a diverse group, is critical to the success of the position. A knowledge of Blue is an asset.
The Functional Analyst will have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution as well as a minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in business planning, system analysis, researching and trouble shooting complex system solutions. Business process management experience is an asset.
