Opportunity

MacEwan University has an opportunity for a Front Desk Associate at Roundhouse within Campus Services. This position acts as a keyholder and covers the Roundhouse welcome desk during evenings and weekends, providing customer service, till operations, sales, clerical functions, and retail maintenance at Roundhouse front desk.

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for greeting members and visitors, helping members and visitors with check ins and outs. Other major duties include completing opening and closing procedures, processing transactions utilizing a Point of Sales system, assisting with event set up and space management, and resolving customer service complaints and inquiries.

This is casual position working between the hours of 9 AM until 9 PM Monday through Friday and 11 AM until 4 PM on Saturdays.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database applications at a basic level. Applicants must be able to follow oral and written instructions, be able to make quick decisions, and work flexible and additional hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a high school diploma and general courses in a database and spreadsheet applications, plus a minimum of one to two years’ experience working in retail.
