The Massage Therapy program offers a unique blend of scientific theory and clinical practice.  It offers a comprehensive clinical education that develops well-rounded massage therapists able to practice in a wide range of medical and therapeutic environments.

The Massage Therapy Diploma Program requires sessional instructors to teach MTST 125 and MTST 126, Physiology I and II.  Physiology I and II are first-year introductory courses covering the physiology of the body. The nervous, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and protective systems are emphasized to explain the relationships between body fluid distribution, sensory stimulation, and the modulation of pain perception.
 
Instructors are responsible for preparing lecture materials such as power point presentations or related media, as well as creating and grading quizzes, tests, and assignments. Instructors will be expected to utilize the MacEwan online learning environment, Blackboard Learn, throughout the term.

Candidates should possess a professional designation as a health care provider or possess graduate level training in physiology and anatomy as it relates to health care.
