MacEwan University is seeking an Experiential Learning Facilitator for our Student Affairs department focused on the School of Business.
The primary purpose of this role is to support Experiential Learning at MacEwan by working with faculty, community partners and to a degree, students.
The Experiential Learning Facilitator (ELF) helps faculty choose the right type of experience to match the learning goals of the course or program and provides guidance and best-practice direction for quality implementation. This position helps plan the EL component of the course, recruits of community partners, manages of the logistics, manages for risk, and ensures smooth implementation. The incumbent works with community partners toward successful interactions with MacEwan faculty and students by ensuring a great match between organizational need and the course project parameters. The Experiential Learning in the School of Business is largely focused on consulting style team projects embedded in regular courses but working with Community Partners. Community Partners tend to be small to mid-size businesses and non-profits.
A degree in a related field, as well as 3-5 years’ of experience working with community partners in a variety of experiential learning opportunities, is required. EL experience could be blended with other employer relations or career development activities in a Post-Secondary Institution.
