The Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications (FFAC) of MacEwan University is recruiting for a talented, professional Administrative Assistant III. The individual in this continuing full-time position will provide administrative support for Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications (FFAC) faculty and staff: program support for the Department of Art and Design; word processing; minute-taking; reception and related support; and maintenance of files in accordance with the University’s file management and retention policies. The Administrative Assistant III will also be required to provide occasional reception coverage.
Proficiency is required in all office duties such as telephone and reception skills. The successful candidate must also possess strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and PeopleSoft. The ability to deliver above-average interpersonal, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills is required. The successful candidate must also be able to work independently while prioritizing a demanding work load. This role requires a candidate who demonstrates initiative, is adaptable, has strong attention to detail, and who can conduct their work in a professional manner with both internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires a minimum of a diploma in an administrative field or related area. Other relevant post-secondary education may be given consideration. The candidate must also possess three to five years administrative experience, preferable in the post-secondary sector. Experience working with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, PeopleSoft and/or databases and queries is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
