The Department of Communication offers a four-year undergraduate degree in Communication Studies with majors in Journalism and Professional Communication (macewan.ca/communicationdegree).
Applications are invited for sessional instructor positions beginning winter term 2020. The part-time instructor is expected to apply effective teaching and facilitate a student-centered learning environment to help students succeed in a rapidly changing communication field.
• A master’s degree in Communication, Journalism or a related discipline (PhD preferred)
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate students
• Industry experience (e.g. working as a journalist or communications professional)
Potential Courses Available for Teaching:
• Strategic communication planning
• Foundations of journalism
• The media and the message
• Online news reporting
• Advanced news reporting
