Opened in September 2005, the MacEwan Residence is located at the City Center Campus and houses 860 students in a variety of bachelor, 2 bedroom and 4 bedroom suite-style units. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure and affordable housing option to students that supports their learning, development and personal growth.
The Department of Residence Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to fill the role of Front Desk Team Lead. Reporting to the Manager, Guest Services the Team Lead position is the first point of contact and is responsible for providing front line service to the campus community, residents, and guests. This position is also responsible for assisting the Manager, Resident and Guest Services with recruiting, training, scheduling and supervising of Front Desk Associates.
The successful applicant will be a team player who can work flexible and varied hours. Occasional weekends may be required.
The successful incumbent will have excellent communication skills, good organizational and prioritization skills as well as exemplary customer service skills. Applicants must also have the ability to work independently; complete work in an accurate and thorough manner while paying attention to detail; maintain confidentiality and deal with situations in a professional, service oriented and tactful manner.
Interested applicants require a high school diploma along with minimum of 2 years in a customer service related position or in the hospitality industry is required. 1-year supervisory experience and previous work in a College/University Residence operation is preferred. Equivalencies may be considered. Applicants also need to have working knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Access and Excel. Working Knowledge of StarRez is an asset.
