The Department of Anthropology, Economics & Political Science in the Faculty of Arts & Science invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2020, subject to final budgetary approval.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD (or evidence of near completion) in Economics with a specialization in applied econometrics. They will demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate education, the ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses in Economics (including courses in mathematical economics and/or econometrics), and they will present an ongoing research plan.
Preferred candidates will provide evidence of teaching excellence and successful peer-reviewed publication, and they will have interests in applied and/or community-based scholarly activity that could incorporate undergraduate students.
