The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at MacEwan University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2020, subject to final budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will conduct research that compliments existing strengths in the department. While not a requirement, experience in statistical consultation would be considered an asset. They will teach a variety of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in statistics and should expect a teaching load of six courses a year.

Preferred candidates will hold a Ph.D. (or evidence of near completion) in Statistics, demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching, provide evidence of an ongoing research program, and show interest to involve undergraduate students in their scholarly activity.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, sample of scholarly work, and academic transcripts.
