The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor in Psychiatric Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing (Diploma) programs are housed within the Faculty of Nursing. Applications are invited for the position of Nurse Educator within the Faculty of Nursing. The Nurse Educator is primarily responsible for clinical instruction. Preferred candidates must hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a baccalaureate degree in psychiatric nursing with a minimum of 3 years professional experience as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse. Candidates should possess strong practice knowledge and skills; a commitment to the profession of registered nursing; enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate nursing students; and interest in ongoing professional development.
The Nurse Educator is a part-time limited-term position (.75 FTE) with a full-time teaching commitment from mid-August to mid-May (beginning of September to the end of May for Psychiatric Nursing Diploma) and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
Active licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) is required, as appropriate.
