Opportunity

The Office Assistant Certificate prepares learners for a career in various types of office settings in the Administrative, Medical, and Legal fields. Office Assistants play an integral role in many organizations. This certificate provides a solid foundation built on an understanding of software programs, best business practices, practical hands-on skills.

The School of Continuing Education is seeking instructors for courses in all three majors: administrative, legal, and medical. Courses include skills related to office technology, basic math and bookkeeping, customer service and communication, legal office procedures, legal documents, legal research, medical and pharmaceutical terminology, and medical office procedures.

Requirements to teach include a Diploma in one of the program areas but a Degree is preferred, experience working as an office assistant or administrator. Experience teaching is preferred. Candidates should possess strong practical knowledge and skills in related activities.
