Social Innovation Institute

More than 15,000 full- and part-time students are enrolled in more than 65 programs: four-year undergraduate degrees, applied degrees, university transfer programs and one- and two-year diploma and certificates. Additional offerings include university preparation, English as an Additional Language, professional and personal development courses and workshops, corporate training and the Conservatory of Music.
The Social Innovation Institute has an opportunity for a term position as Program Coordinator. The term is up to 18 months. The Program Coordinator, Social Innovation Institute is responsible for leading programs across MacEwan University that involve community engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration, related to social innovation. Reporting to the Director, Social Innovation Institute, the Program Coordinator will lead the development of social innovation programs, and identify and implement opportunities for students and faculty to partner with community members to work on change-making initiatives.
The successful candidate will work with the Social Innovation Institute Director to assist in the development of annual plans that support the strategic direction of the Institute. Program development and management with faculty, staff, students and community partners is a vital piece of this role.
This is a full-time term position for up to 18 months.

A Bachelor’s degree in business, management or commerce; or equivalent experience will be considered. The successful candidate must have a least five years of project management or program coordination experience. One year of experience within a non-profit or social innovation sector, as well experience within an academic institution are desirable assets.
