Opportunity

The IT Security Administrator is accountable to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations for activities related university IT security infrastructure administration. As a senior technical role, this position coordinates the development and support of IT security infrastructure and identifies and implements enhancements that will improve reliability and performance. The IT Security Administrator is a subject matter expert responsible for leading activities related to installing, maintaining, configuring and securing network components, operating systems, software, and services.

•    Cisco SAFE Strategy
•    Cisco TrustSec Technology

•    Cisco Routing(OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VRF, LISP)

Qualifications


A post-secondary University degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent related work experience is required. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundations certification would be considered an asset. A minimum of 10 years’ experience working with network systems preferably in a large client server environment and 5 years’ experience with IT security operations, incident management, intrusion detection, and security technology deployment in a multi-tier environment is required.
