Opportunity

MacEwan University is seeking an experience Accounting Tech II for our Campus Services department. The main duties of this position include all aspects of the accounts receivable function, expense reconciliations and management, financial reports, process documentation, assisting with month-end and year-end processes, and ad-hoc projects as required.

Skills

  • Ability to pick up new tasks quickly with attention to details

  • Ability to work independently on repetitive tasks

  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer service

  • Experience and thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel) in a Windows operating system is essential

  • Well organized, able to cope with a diverse workload and prioritize and complete tasks in a time sensitive manner

  • Self-directed individual who can work independently, be proactive, and take charge when necessary

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and deal with situations in a professional, service-oriented, and tactful manner

  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft and/or StarRez is an asset

Qualifications

  • Diploma in business, finance, or accounting. Degree or CPA is an asset

  • At least three years’ experience within a mid-size accounting environment

  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft and/or StarRez is an asset
