Course Production Technician (11-month Term)

MacEwan University is seeking a highly skilled Course Production Technician for a full-time non-recurring position for our eLearning Services Department. The Course Production Technician is accountable for supporting online learning activities within the eLearning Services. You will act as a vital team member to support the development, delivery, and maintenance of online and blended course materials. Major responsibilities during this term position will be converting courses from Blackboard Learn to Moodle, including uploading and organizing material within the LMS, creating materials using tools within the LMS, such as quizzes, assignments, and forums, and proofing and testing material to ensure accuracy before student use.
This is a 11-month full-time non-recurring term.
Experience developing courses in Moodle 3.x required
Experience using Blackboard Learn preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
Ability to work on multiple projects I tasks
Ability to adapt to change
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as a team member
Ability to learn new software/programming
Required Computer Skills
Advanced computer skills (File Management, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, email)
Create/Modify pdf documents and forms
Create/modify images using Photoshop or Illustrator
Record, edit, and produce audio and video files
Diploma in Computing Science, Digital Arts, or Web Design
Two years’ experience creating web pages or online course materials
