Opportunity

MacEwan University is seeking experienced Instructional Designers for 2 eight-month full time term positions with our School of Continuing Education. The Instructional Designer works with faculty, staff, and subject matter experts to support the planning, design, development, and movement of courses between learning management systems. The position supports the move from Blackboard to Moodle through their knowledge of learning theories, instructional strategies, educational technologies, online learning, and instructional design.

These positions are full-time non-recurring eight-month term positions.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Flexible - adapts easily to varying roles required of this position

  • Technical skills (computer and educational technology). Suite Ability to manage and meet deadlines

  • Experience using Blackboard and Moodle 3

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in education or a related discipline with relevant course work and experience will be considered

  • Courses or a program in instructional design is an asset

  • Two years instructional design experience
