MacEwan University is seeking applicants for a full-time continuing Admissions Coordinator for our School of Continuing Education, Student Support Centre. You will be responsible for determining student admissibility to MacEwan University's School of Continuing Education programs and maintaining and updating student records throughout a student's life cycle. You will maintain currency relating to academic requirements and policies and collaborate with university stakeholders and community partners to actively promote prospective student engagement to support enrollment management strategies and outcomes.
You will provide pre-admission information to prospective students on diverse programs and assess eligibility based on student needs prior learning assessment recognition (PLAR) and future goals, such as Alberta Integrated Pathways and Foundational Learning (Government-funded programs). You will also work with program leads to advise on proposed admissions guidelines and criteria for new programs and the advisement and development of new or proposed changes to admissions guidelines and criteria for new programs.

Ability to perform intermediate-level tasks using a student information system
Ability to perform complex tasks using Microsoft suite programs
Ability to organize time and priorities with limited supervision
Critical thinking, conflict resolution & collaborative decision-making skills
Ability to understand, interpret and apply departmental policies and procedures
Ability to process large volumes of work and meet deadlines
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing environment
Ability to understand, interpret and apply diverse Canadian and International educational systems against established admission criteria
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Demonstrated commitment to service excellence
Research and conduct analysis of comparable credentialling educational requirements domestically and internationally
Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to effectively work in a team environment
A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in program evaluation in a post-secondary institution, including evaluating Canadian or International education academic qualifications
Knowledge of PLAR and transfer credit processes
Knowledge of PeopleSoft - Campus Solutions or a similar student registration system is critical
Experience working with Government funding sources
