Volunteer

Public Consultation

Conduct research on food security, organize students for the Earth Race, sit on our advisory committee, advocate for the re-use program on campus—our volunteers have plenty of options to choose from.

Engagement and outreach, event planning and delivery, photography, research and advocacy—these are just some of the opportunities we offer our volunteers. Choose a role that's the right fit for you and help enhance sustainability on campus and in the community.  If you have an interest in social, environmental, economic or cultural issues, we want you on our team.

Give some, gain a lot

Our volunteers donate between 20 and 30 hours of their time in a term, depending on the activity they support. They are innovators who like to try new things. They are strong communicators, responsible workers and committed team players.

When you volunteer with the Office of Sustainability, you join an inclusive and diverse community on campus, with a strong social component that includes potlucks, field trips and eco-tours. Plus, the personal and professional skills you develop become part of the co-curricular record.
