Don’t let his six-year-old frame fool you. Devin Pelletier has enough team spirit packed into his pint-sized body to get a gym full of Griffins fans going—and there is video footage to prove it. Watch the coverage of a game where Devin’s in the stands and you’ll hear a single reedy voice in the background cracking with the effort to cheer “Let’s Go, Griffins!” at top volume, and the entire gym responding with “Let’s Go!”
“It feels pretty good to get the crowd all crazy,” says Devin, an alum of the MacEwan Child Care Centre. “I just cheer really loud and they follow. One time at a basketball game they pointed the camera at me and I was on the big screen.”
That was the day Devin was declared Fan of the Game. His thoughts about being a super fan? “It’s special to me. I’m going to bet I’m the youngest one.”
