MacEwan University Health Centre
MacEwan students, faculty and staff have access to comprehensive physical and mental health care, including disease prevention, health promotion, acute care and chronic care at the MacEwan University Health Centre (MUHC).
Appointments can be booked by phone or in person.
Office of Sexual Violence Prevention, Education and Response
We are committed to creating a culture of consent and ending sexual violence on campus. We support survivors of sexual violence and guide the MacEwan community in learning to recognize, respond to and prevent all forms of sexual violence. Contact us to learn more about creating a culture of consent on campus or to talk about an incident you've witnessed or experienced.
Peer Support Centre
Peer Support, an initiative of the Students' Association of MacEwan University, is about students helping students. If you need a safe and confidential space to discuss life’s stresses and tough situations, we have trained listeners waiting to meet with you.
Services to Students with Disabilities (SSD)
If you are a student with a disability, we support you by coordinating accommodations, such as in-class support and exam services. As well, we are a first point of contact if you have concerns or experience discrimination. We listen to you and refer you to the appropriate on-campus supports.
Sport and Wellness
MacEwan University's Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness is a recreation facility in downtown Edmonton that features fitness and aquatics facilities; spin, yoga and aerobics studios; and a three-court gymnasium. We serve MacEwan students and employees and the general public. Our facilities are available for rent by external groups.
Student Affairs
Student Affairs oversees areas that support student success. From new student orientations to counselling services, and career education to volunteer opportunities, Student Affairs helps create a university experience that is fulfilling—and engaging—for all students.
Wellness and Psychological Services
If you are struggling with personal or academic stress and need someone to talk to, we can support you with free, professional, confidential counselling. Students enrolled in one or more credit courses can meet to discuss health and wellness concerns. The first step is to attend an Initial Consultation (IC).
