Access and Disability Resources (ADR)

If you are a student with a disability, we support you by coordinating accommodations, such as in-class support and exam services. As well, we are a first point of contact if you have concerns or experience discrimination related to your disability. We listen to you and refer you to the appropriate on-campus supports.

Athletic Therapy

Our athletic therapists support your rapid return to work and play. From assessment and treatment of old or new injuries, such as concussions, to therapeutic massage and post-operative care, we are here to help you get and stay healthy. We also teach strength and conditioning techniques for injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance. Athletic therapy services are available to everyone.

Kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre

Sport and Wellness

MacEwan University's Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness is a recreation facility in downtown Edmonton that features fitness and aquatics facilities; spin, yoga and aerobics studios; and a three-court gymnasium. We serve MacEwan students and employees and the general public. Our facilities are available for rent by external groups.

Wellness and Psychological Services

If you are struggling with personal or academic stress and need someone to talk to, we can support you with free, professional, confidential counselling. Students enrolled in one or more credit courses can book an appointment to discuss health and wellness concerns. The first step is to attend an Initial Consultation (IC). Initial consultations are available by telephone, video, or in-person on a limited basis. Please contact Reception to book an initial consultation. Follow-up appointments for ongoing counselling are available by telephone or video only.
