Sexual Violence Response Coordinator
At MacEwan University, the Sexual Violence Response Coordinator provides a first point of contact if you have experienced or witnessed sexual violence. The coordinator is familiar with support options on campus and in the community. Counselling and emotional support, safety planning, on-campus security, reporting options and academic modifications—the coordinator can help you take next steps.

MacEwan University Health Centre
MacEwan students, faculty and staff have access to comprehensive physical and mental health care, including disease prevention, health promotion, acute care and chronic care at the MacEwan University Health Centre (MUHC).
Appointments can be booked by phone or in person.
Peer Support Centre
Peer Support, an initiative of the Students' Association of MacEwan University, is about students helping students. If you need a safe and confidential space to discuss life’s stresses and tough situations, we have trained listeners waiting to meet with you.
Security Services
Our team responds to a range of situations: lost and found items, suspicious activity, potentially dangerous conditions and emergencies, such as fire, extreme weather or threats to personal safety. We can help if you are in distress, feel unsafe, are worried about a student or have experienced or witnessed violence on campus.
Wellness and Psychological Services
If you are struggling with personal or academic stress and need someone to talk to, we can support you with free, professional, confidential counselling. Students enrolled in one or more credit courses can meet to discuss health and wellness concerns. The first step is to attend an Initial Consultation (IC).
Sexual violence support guides
MacEwan staff and faculty who have taken sexual violence prevention and support training are available to assist survivors of sexual violence. Our support guides are knowledgeable about MacEwan's sexual violence policy and procedures, connected to campus and community resources and committed to creating a culture of consent on our campus.
