Live to Swim

Water fitness classes, triathlon training, junior lifeguard club, instructor certification, swim lessons—our aquatics program has something for everyone. Try something new in the water or build on skills that you already have.

Our aquatics staff bring just the right blend of guidance, encouragement and fun to all of our programs and courses. As trained instructors and lifeguards, they know how to motivate you to meet your aquatic and fitness goals while staying safe in the water.

Courses and classes

Get fit this fall while you learn valuable skills. Swim, bike, run or learn lifesaving skills with youth triathlon and Junior Lifesaving Sport courses. There’s something for our veteran swimmers looking to get or stay fit, with our Master’s Swim course or Deep Water and Shallow Water fitness classes.

Swim lessons

You’re never too young to learn, and never too experienced to improve. Tots (with their parents, of course), adult and all levels in between—take group or private swim lessons with us this fall and learn skills that will last a lifetime.

Certification

Learn to save lives—or to train those who do. These leadership courses further your training and are necessary components for working as lifeguards, first aid and CPR providers and lifesaving instructors.

Public swimming

You don't have to be a MacEwan student or employee to use our pool. Family, friends and community members can come for a dip or lane swim during regularly scheduled public swim times.

When I started swimming I was scared of the water. Now I’m excited to go swimming.
