As nationally certified exercise specialists, our trainers are qualified to provide sport specific, post-rehabilitative or special condition programs (inclusive but not limited to arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart condition programs and soft tissue injuries).

Whether you’re new to the gym, working towards a competition or want a tune up on your routine, our certified personal trainers can help you get there. Book your free 30-minute consultation with a trainer prior to purchasing sessions to determine the best path to success by calling 780-497-5693.
After your consultation, book some personal training sessions. The cost of a session is the same for single participant, or a group—so grab up to two friends and train for a fraction of the cost! If you choose to train as a group simply divide the rate by the number of participants to get your per person rate. Max of three participants per group. Group sessions must be paid for in a single transaction.

Supplement your training with online coaching sessions to keep you on track no matter where you are! Whether you are an existing client wanting a check-in/updated, or a new client wanting ongoing programming on a monthly basis, we have two tiers of training available to suit your needs. Fill out our Personal Training Inquiry Questionnaire to set up a consultation. *This is a one time package valid for 30 days after purchase. Ongoing monthly training must be purchased at the end of each 30 day period.

Includes: Free 30 min. consultation, 4 weeks of workouts, 1x 30 minute program review, 1x/week 15 minute check in call with your trainer.

Meet our Personal Trainers
Even though Anita loves to spin to stay fit, she prefers it as a participant and not teaching, and does it so she can eat more of her mom’s gnocchi. Anita saves her teaching to lead the Older Adult Tone & Balance class and work with clients who are new to exercise, have chronic health conditions and /or are recovering from injury. But she’s not afraid to go outside her comfort zone, as she’s a regular helping out at her sons’ (Jonathan and Matteo) school, even if it involves crafts! When she has some downtime, it’s spent with her family being active biking, golfing, hiking, skiing or skating and in and around the mountains whenever she can.

What I do for myself: yoga, stand up paddleboard, poetry.
Personal Achievements: CSEP certification, 200-hour yogafit certification, bilingual (B.A. in French linguistics from Laval University)
My Guilty Pleasure: Chocolate - LOVE it, and strawberries. Put both together and I am in heaven :)
My Specialty: Passion is dance, lots of experience working with pre/post natal, and seniors and those who are newer to the gym environment.
What I do for fun: dancing, hiking, and swimming.

Specialty: People new to fitness or those who need some extra motivation. Runners who want complete their first 5/10K or to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I enjoy working with a variety of clientele who have set goals for themselves and are driven to meet those goals by being challenged appropriately.
What I do for Fun: anything outside, especially with my family and friends

What I do for myself: I like to curl up with a good fiction book when I am feeling stressed, and spend some time outside in nature.

What Motivates Me: When people finally decide to follow the changes that they want to make and empower themselves to achieve
My Specialty: Extensive background working with individuals experiencing impairments and chronic conditions, however I enjoy working with anyone with a desire to start a fitness plan!
What I do for fun: When I am not working, I am spending my time studying in the MacEwan University Acupuncture program.

What I do for myself: play volleyball, golf, Olympic weightlifting and run recreationally as a means to improve my social and physical health.
Personal Achievements: Volleyball National Champion in 2009, Provincial Class 1 Weightlifter, and published in an academic Journal in 2014.
My Guilty Pleasure: chips... also pizza.. and maybe beer.
What Motivates Me: my wife! She inspires me to get up and do more and be a kinder person.
How I give back: help coach volleyball in youth age groups.
My Specialty: I enjoy working with a variety of clients but really enjoy highly motivated people or athletes. Be it competitive/ varsity athletes or weekend warriors looking to keep improving.
What I do for fun: travelling the globe when my schedule allows it or hanging out with friends around a backyard fire are my favourite things to do.

It’s no surprise Kyle got into fitness as a career, considering he has grandparents in their 80s still going to the gym! That’s where his interest in weightlifting, running, cycling, snowboarding, basically an active lifestyle, was born. He has a passion for seeing clients who struggled with daily activities gain greater confidence with training, be it his individual clients or his many Better Body Bootcamp participants. Kyle does believe in balance though- don’t be surprised to see him indulging in a greasy burger with a good beer and ice cream for dessert.

When not teaching or doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, training clients or pedalling a group through a spin class, Kyle can be found cooking, cheering at live sporting events with a good hefeweizen in hand, playing sports video games or walking his dog, Piper, with his wife, Jen, our resident Athletic Therapist.
You can jump on a bike with Kyle in our Spin & Core class on Wednesdays at noon or our Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu classes. Expect to hear about the Packers' latest draft picks!

If Megan could teach a fitness class that somehow incorporated dogs- she would. That would just give her more time with her pet Ollie, or the Pitbulls for Life dogs she volunteers with. Besides dog time, Megan enjoys working out with friends, indulging in anything chocolate, playing some tennis, and finishing the day off with a long soak. When at Sport and Wellness, you can find Megan leading Friday’s Final Cut, working with clients, or giggling with the Sit & Be Fit participants while they exercise.
What Motivates Megan: “Not just seeing progress, but feeling changes within myself and within clients. Nothing feels better than hearing someone say ‘Wow I never thought I could do that!’ or ‘I feel so much stronger!’ when they achieve a new goal.”

What I do for myself: go to the mountains, my workouts, spending time with my nieces (innocence of children gives you a bigger picture of what is actually important).
