Older Adult Fitness Classes

Older Adult Value-Added Classes are FREE drop-in classes for those who have a MacEwan University Sport and Wellness membership or pass.* If you are not a member and wish to attend these classes, they are included with paid access.

All classes are taught by certified instructors who are trained to provide different levels of intensity to accommodate all fitness levels; beginners are welcome.

All Spring & Summer Value-Added classes run:

Water Fitness

Our swimming pool will be closed until September for necessary tile replacement and maintenance of the pool membrane. Our members who are regular pool users can take advantage of lane swimming at the NAIT or Downtown YMCA pools at no charge. Our morning and noon hour aquafit classes, run by Sport and Wellness staff, will be run at the YMCA. Visit our Welcome Desk for details on how to access the NAIT and YMCA facilities. If neither option works, our regular pool using members have the option to put their membership on hold at no charge.

MacEwan University Sport and Wellness reserves the right to cancel classes due to low participation – continue to check the website for up-to-date information. Call 780.497.5317 to reserve class tags one hour before class begins. Passes are now available for pick-up at the Welcome Desk.

Please note, value-added classes will not run on holidays unless otherwise noted.
