The Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act is a provincial law that came into effect in December, 2015. The law requires that all public sector bodies, including public post-secondary institutions, disclose the compensation and non-monetary benefits of all employees whose total compensation and severance is greater than the established threshold in a given year: the threshold for 2016 is $126,375. The university must also disclose any compensation provided to members of the Board of Governors that is related to their responsibilities as members of the Board of Governors.
If you have questions about the university’s disclosure, please contact Cynthia MacKenzie, Senior Advisor, Compensation & Job Evaluation at firstname.lastname@example.org. Media inquiries should be directed to David Beharry, Media Relations Advisor at 780-497-5586.
