Planning is underway for the Integrated Strategic Plan: 2019/20 – 2023/24. Through a series of meetings with diverse groups from across campus, President Deborah Saucier kicked off the process in the summer of 2017. Consultations will continue until the plan is finalized and approved in fall of 2019. As well as providing input at consultation events, you are invited to email ideas directly to the president's office.

Beginning shortly after she is hired, President Deborah Saucier meets with diverse sectors of the MacEwan community to learn about the university, its people, its values and its priorities.
At two retreats, one with the Board of Governors and the other with Deans’ Council, a set of draft values and priorities is developed.
At Organizational Development Day, the president presents a summary of the work done on the strategic plan. She speaks about some of the values that have been drafted and how they relate to the day’s activities.
At a town hall meeting, the president describes the work that has been completed on the ISP, providing the campus community with an initial look at the plan and answering their questions. Together with David McLaughlin and Ken Ristau, from Institutional Analysis and Planning, the president presents the plan to two groups of senior leaders. In addition, she reports on the plan to the Academic Governance Council, seeking feedback and explaining aspects of the planning.
The president presents the Integrated Strategic Framework to the Board of Governors and updates them on ISP development and timelines for its completion. The framework, values, mission and vision are supported by the Board.
In her regular, online column, the president discusses the university's plans for drafting the ISP, encouraging involvement from the campus community.
