Currents: A Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Conference about Flows, Movement and Directions

MacEwan University’s Department of Anthropology, Economics and Political Science invites you to their sixth annual trans-disciplinary undergraduate student conference.

This year's conference includes student papers and poster presentations from all disciplines exploring the conference theme of currents from disciplinary and trans-disciplinary perspectives such as:

  • Directions in social change: age, gender, sexualities, ethnicities, access to education
  • Economic change, globalisation, neoliberalism and resistance
  • Political movements
  • Climate, ocean currents, winds and adaptation
  • Changing cultural knowledge systems
  • Technological innovations and flows of knowledge
  • Global health and epidemic disease
  • Political ecology, neoliberalism and environment
  • Indigenous governance and reconciliation
  • Conflict and diaspora
  • Barriers to exchange, movements
  • Species migrations, invasions, gene flows
  • Geography, climate change and uncertainties
  • Resource flows, trade and manufacturing


Deadlines:
Paper Abstracts are due by February 10, 2018.
You will be advised by telephone or email of your paper's acceptance by February 12, 2018.
