Travelling toward people

The 40-hour, sleepless flight from Helsinki to Edmonton did not dampen Aapo-Matti's enthusiasm for studying abroad. New experiences, new friendships, a new culture—his year in MacEwan's Bachelor of Music program is about so much more than music.

Alberta and Canada

Home to a diverse range of people and landscapes, our province includes five of Canada’s 13 UNESCO World Heritage sites, two renowned dinosaur museums and the Calgary Stampede, also known as the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. You can spend your weekends skiing in the Rocky Mountains, learning about Aboriginal culture at the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Interpretive Centre or gazing up at the dazzling displays of light and colour of the northern lights.
