Academic Integrity Office
We believe fairness and ethical behaviour are best fostered through education and prevention, not policing and discipline. When academic misconduct is suspected or does occur, we treat students fairly and respectfully.
Contact the Academic Integrity Office if you have questions about restorative practices, academic integrity or about the process for reporting or responding to academic misconduct.
Career Development and Experiential Learning
Career Development and Experiential Learning (CDEL) helps students and alumni navigate their career journey with confidence. We give advice, provide resources, organize events and support experiential learning opportunities, such as internships, field placements and co-ops.
Kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre
kihêw waciston, which means “eagle’s nest” in Cree, is a home away from home for MacEwan University's Indigenous students. Contact us if you have questions about personal, academic, funding and cultural services on campus. We can support you on your post-secondary path.
MacEwan University’s library is a key source of information for students as they begin a research project, find and evaluate information and learn to properly cite sources. Research librarians can help students at various stages of the research process, and the library website contains useful information on various aspects of research and citation.
Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity (OHRDE)
At MacEwan University, we are committed to working with all members of our campus community to build a discrimination-free environment. Contact us if you have experienced discrimination on campus. We can guide and support you.
Sport and Wellness
MacEwan University's Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness is a recreation facility in downtown Edmonton that features fitness and aquatics facilities; spin, yoga and aerobics studios; and a three-court gymnasium. We serve MacEwan students and employees and the general public. Our facilities are available for rent by external groups.
Through Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) Student Groups, you have the opportunity to share ideas, challenge yourself, help others and build leadership skills. Student Groups are open to all students.
Do you need help interpreting and understanding policies, processes and decisions? The Student Ombudsperson is an independent, neutral, confidential and accessible resource for all students. You can come here for fair and impartial advice.
The Writing Centre
Meet with a writing and learning services staff member to learn about effective study and time management strategies, or bring in a draft of an essay to receive feedback on areas for improvement. You can also learn to avoid plagiarism and use APA, MLA and Chicago documentation styles to cite information correctly.
Wellness and Psychological Services
If you are struggling with personal or academic stress and need someone to talk to, we can support you with free, professional, confidential counselling. Students enrolled in one or more credit courses can meet to discuss health and wellness concerns. The first step is to attend an Initial Consultation (IC).
