Christianity in its Contexts: an Undergraduate Conference
On April 28, St. Joe's College at the University of Alberta will host an interdisciplinary undergraduate conference on the study of Christianity. MacEwan students are invited to attend and present their own research, whether historical, comparative, anthropological, sociological or literary. By doing so, they can join in a conversation with students and scholars from various Edmonton-area institutions, from Concordia and Athabasca to MacEwan and the University of Alberta.
Interested students can learn more at the conference website, which also includes instructions for submitting an abstract. The deadline for submissions is March 23.
The conference abstract is as follows:
"The study of Christianity is enriched by interdisciplinary dialogue that draws from a diversity of voices. Our conference invites undergraduates from a variety of disciplines to present their research on Christianity in any of its contexts. Relevant fields include (but are by no means limited to): history, theology, sociology, literature, economics, cultural studies, the fine arts, education, and the health sciences."
