City Wide Welcome 2018

September 15, 2018

New to Edmonton? Start your year at the City-Wide Welcome. It's the place to be to explore what your new city has to offer. This fun, action-packed event will showcase our rich culture, stunning river valley and exceptional attractions.

City-Wide Welcome will take place on Saturday September 15 at the Shaw Conference Centre. This welcome event is made possible through a partnership between the City of Edmonton and its eight post-secondary institutions, including MacEwan University, University of Alberta, The King’s University, NAIT, NorQuest College, Concordia University of Edmonton, Athabasca University and Yellowhead Tribal College - with financial sponsorship from TD.

"City-Wide Welcome will be our chance to say thanks to students from across Canada and around the world for choosing Edmonton, and to welcome them in a big way," said Mayor Don Iveson. "They'll learn it takes five minutes here to feel you're one of us."

The event will feature a welcome from Mayor Iveson and the City Manager, Linda Cochrane; free city tours; and an exhibitor showcase of Edmonton’s companies, products and services - including Startup Edmonton, Parks Canada, Edmonton Tourism and Edmonton recruitment.
